The Drew Lanius debut CD, “of the past and foreground” released on January 27, 2012 without benefit of a record label is a collection of recordings that span nearly two decades. The opening track “Nowhere With You” was recorded as a demo in 1993. In late 2011 Drew asked the pianist on the original demo, Craig Wilson (wilsongs.com), to once again accompany him on this song for its inclusion on the release. Most of the tracks were recorded between 2006 and 2011 at my home studio. Additional musicians were brought in one at a time to record specific parts.

Two tracks, “Better Than Being Alone” and “Everything You Need” were mixed and mastered by Erwin Musper (Def Leppard, Van Halen, David Bowie) at Studio the Bamboo Room in Highland Heights, KY.

“Better Than Being Alone” previously appeared on PLAY IT FORWARD Compilation #1 which was released in March 2009 at a sold out show at Madison Theater in Covington, KY. The legendary Peter Frampton headlined the show Drew Lanius opened for him at this concert. Through the release of the CD Drew was able to meet songwriters from around the world.                    At the time of this website update, some of these relationships are still bearing musical fruit so stay tuned…
